“Friendship Old And New”

Blessings without Prayer

What does it mean to be a life long friend?  I know for myself it means that we can go a year without seeing each other and just pick up like it was yesterday when we do get together.

Even then with all that time in between they can take what your trying to accomplish and put a wonderful spin on it and send it in the direction it so needs to go.

They are the people in your life that hold the same precious memories that you do.  The stories that when you tell the tears are rolling down your cheeks from laughter and you know beyond a shadow of doubt that there is a God because you survived them.

I don’t get to see these friends as often as I would like to.  It’s hard when people live in different areas and with families our schedules become difficult to sync, but our memories are priceless.

I also know that without these wonderful goofy friends I wouldn’t be who I am today and I thank them for that.

I have been so blessed to have met some pretty awesome goofy new friends in life as well.  God has an wonderful way of giving you just what you need when you need it.  These new friends are just as precious as old.  One is silver and the other gold.

This is what I pray for  my children.  That they are blessed with friendships that last a life time.  That they will have friends that will be there for them through thick and thin.  And that their memories will be filled with laughter, the awesome belly laughing kind with tears rolling down their cheeks.
