Gluten Free Italian Night at The Shellhamer’s
1 package of Gluten Free Sweet Italian Turkey sausage (make sure to remove casings)
1 package of Gluten Free Hot Italian Turkey sausage (make sure to remove casings)
1 ½ medium purple onions cut up into small pieces
2-3 cloves of minced garlic
3 red bell peppers cut up into same size as onions
3 yellow bell peppers cut up into same size as onions
2 Tablespoons of Olive oil
2 packages of Gluten Free pasta ( I like to use either Quinoa or Schar)
1 package of mixed cheese Parmesan, Romano, Asiago (make sure it is Gluten Free)
Salt and pepper to taste
*As you add ingredients make sure to salt and pepper each layer.
Add olive oil to a good size frying pan. Heat then add sausage, make sure to remove casings first.
Once sausage is slightly browned add the onions, cook till the onions and sausage are cooked, onions will be translucent. Add the peppers then last add the garlic (be careful not to burn the garlic) let the flavors mix on low heat.
While that is getting happy start your water to boil with some olive oil and salt in the pot. Follow the directions for the pasta.
After pasta is done drain and then top with the meat mixture top off with cheese, as you like. Enjoy!
